the story
Where Staaack comes from.
Behind the studio is more than a decade of building for travel and outdoor businesses, in New Zealand, France and Mauritius.
The arc
It started in Mauritius in 2014, twice in the same year. The first client site, built for a fishing charter, and the first of our own, trekkingmauritius.com, for the outdoor company Henri was starting to lead. Building for clients and building for ourselves have run side by side ever since, and each has made the other better.
Around that core grew the range: a web development company in New Zealand, a marketplace for tourism experiences, a mountain-biking travel agency, an e-bike brand in the French Alps, SEO for a Mauritian real-estate agency, and the support function of a New Zealand SaaS company, taken from a job into a system that delivered genuinely good customer success.
Through it all, Yanature. Henri partnered with Yan, its founding guide, in 2014; Nico joined in 2015; and from that trio the team grew to more than twenty. Leading strategic development together with Nico, Henri helped grow it into one of the island's leading operators, cited by BBC Travel, TV5 Monde and Le Figaro, selling through the world's biggest travel agencies, with a community of more than sixty thousand built along the way. Everything Staaack sells today was learned operating real businesses first.
In 2026 that experience became a studio of two. Henri leads the build, directing frontier AI so the output matches a full team's. Victoria Pisani leads the commercial side and stays close to every client.
